Janell Huffman
Janell's many years of experience in photography began with film SLR cameras in college. During her career in education, she's studied with well-known American and International photographers and has taken numerous photography classes and workshops. Her experiences have continually progressed to include darkroom work, video and digital cameras, and editing software. A former community college instructor, Janell has extensive experience communicating with and training adults.
In addition to co-creating and conducting the Annual Rainforest Photography Workshop held at the historic Lake Quinault Lodge, a Palouse Workshop, and an Inside Passage Cruise Workshop, she has been a team teaching site-photographer for Osher Institute. As a leader of Tomodachi-kai, a Portland area Japanese-American friendship group, she established their photography club. Additionally, as a videographer, she edits and produces ballroom dance and travel videos. Landscape, travel, and nature photography interest her the most where she balances between "realistic" and "artistic" images.
