Palouse Photography Workshop

May 31 - June 3, 2012

Join us for a long weekend of photographic adventure in Washington State's Palouse area.

Outdoor photography sessions combined with classroom demonstrations and instruction insure greater understanding of techniques to improve your photography.

Learn how to use white balance, histograms, and the digital zone system to photograph this rolling agricultural landscape.

Discover how to implement an image editing workflow to maximize the look of your image from camera to display.

This photography workshop is suitable for beginning and intermediate photographers with all types of cameras. Multiple instructors assure one-on-one instruction.

Tentative Workshop Outline

• Begin Thursday evening with a visual presentation of stunning images to review composition techniques. Learn the importance and details of in-camera white balance, histograms, zone system, and camera setup.
  
  
• Friday, start the day with a sunrise photography shoot followed by photography at various locations.
  
  
• Receive one-on-one time with the instructors and join an open discussion.
  
  
• Discover a shooting workflow while reviewing exposure, depth of field, exposure bracketing, and camera features while checking your images at the afternoon session.
  
  
• End the day with an evening light and sunset shoot.
  
  
• Photograph various Palouse area locations on Saturday during field outings.
  
  
• Learn an image editing workflow during the evening session.
  
  
• Select 3-5 images for a Sunday morning slide show and review and critique of participants' "favorite images."
